In the few years of her life as a super star Taylor Swift has become so much more to the crowd than just a great singer.

Her music touches everyone who hears it.

She uses her own feelings in the music and lyrics that come bursting from not only her vocal chords but her heart too. And this is not where her heart stops pouring out either. She donates to the St. Jude hospital for children as well. She is very much into caring about people other than herself. This shows a great part of her to the fan base like you.

Everyone who ever attends high school knows that it is all about popularity.

But that is not true. She is still her own person and does not act to make others happy by joining a clique. She has been who she is without letting outside influences change her perspective on life.

These facts are what make her the ideal idol of fans all over the world. They line up and camp out overnight to get great tickets, seats and just a glimpse of this starlet. Her music and lifestyle have brought hope and joy to millions of fans.

She recently played out her soul to a sold out show in Minnesota. It is not only her singing. She has a fabulous way of reaching the minds of each person in the crowd. Everyone has their own song that makes them feel all right even when they are not sure how they feel. She writes about her own inside personal relationship with herself and sings it to the crowds of eagerly awaiting individuals who need to know they are not alone.

In spite of her shot to the stratosphere with her great vocals, superb energy and the fact that the fame has not gone to her head, she remains a really good person.

Her life has had a few bumps but she has courageously built her own castle. When she was ten she was singing at karaoke contests, at eleven she was dropping off homemade demos to all the record labels she could find and at fourteen she managed to sign a record deal with a Nashville company before she could even drive. That is the drive that should be touching her fans.

If one person could break away from the norm to follow their dreams, it would make it possible to help others to have the strength and courage to do so too. Taylor Swift has done this, making her one of country music’s best vocalists who really deserves the life she has built for herself.

Taylor Swift’s first year as a country artist drew to a close with her third single from her eponymous album claiming the No. 1 spot for the fourth week in a row. Our Song, which Swift wrote for her ninth grade talent show, is her first No. 1 song, edging out Tim McGraw, a No. 6 hit, and Teardrops on My Guitar, which peaked at No. 2.

But having her album go double platinum was an even bigger milestone than her 18th birthday, which she celebrated December 13.

When Swift’s record company surprised her with a big pink pick-up as a birthday gift, Swift was flattered but wanted to do something really special with it and she did: She donated the truck to Victory Junction Gang, “a camp for really sick kids. That thought just makes me smile. For a few weeks, it’s being kept at the Country Music Hall of Fame here in Nashville, in case you want to go check it out,” Swift wrote on her myspace page.

Word is that the Victory Junction Gang Camp will use Swift’s truck to pick up children with serious medical conditions from the airport and take them to camp.

Swift officially presented the keys to the truck to NASCAR’s Kyle Petty and his wife, Pattie, at Sound & Speed.

Swift is performing at the 99.9 FM Kiss Chili Cookoff in Pembroke Pines on Jan. 27. We’re supposed to chat by phone sometime before that, so watch for the interview in TGIF.
